2020-21 Academic Calendar
Spring semester courses on the Ithaca and Cornell Tech campuses began February 8, 2021 and conclude on May 25, 2021. Professional degree program calendars may vary, so, if necessary, be sure to check with your college or department for more specifics.
Study days and final exams are noted on the academic calendar. While there will not be a traditional spring break, two separate two-day wellness breaks are planned: March 9 and 10 and April 23 and 26. There will be no tests given or graded assignments due on these days or on the day immediately following these breaks (i.e., March 11, April 27).
Cornell’s 2021 Summer Session will be held online. To register for three-, six-, or eight-week summer courses, browse course offerings, select your registration category, and follow the enrollment steps. For Summer Session dates, including enrollment deadlines, see the Summer Session academic calendar.
Note: A limited number of Summer Session classes may be available for in-person instruction for Cornell-affiliated groups only, including the 2021 Prefreshmen Summer Program. Participants in that program will be notified of their options. In addition, the Cornell in Washington Summer Term will be held in person.
